Returns Policy


RETURNS POLICY:

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to process exchanges for returns but if you wish to receive store credit instead of a refund, please state this on your return paperwork. Please return your item/s to us following the method below:

  • Re-pack the item in its original packaging or in a secure, waterproof package with labels and tags still attached.
  • Cover your address label with the LJ’s returns label found on the bottom left of your returns form.
  • Return the package and obtain proof of postage. Keep your certificate of postage safe as you will need this as your proof of return.
  • Ensure you include your return paperwork with order number, name and reason for return. Returns sent without any information cannot be refunded.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURNS POLICY?
  • Items must be returned within 14 days of the date the parcel has been received by the customer.
  • Items must be unworn and unwashed.
  • Shoes must be tried on indoors.
  • Items must have all tags attached.
  • No returns on necklaces, leggings, underwear or face masks
  • No returns on sale items
  • No returns on tanning products or cosmetics
  • No returns on handbags, headwear, glasses, or scarves

LJ’s Ladies Boutique as a seller are not responsible for any postage costs when an order is placed. If the purchaser decides they no longer wish to keep the order and decide to return it, all postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Please make sure to return items in their original packaging or another delivery bag – Bin bags & shopping bags are not suitable packaging and can cause damage to the items, therefore LJ’s Ladies Boutique have the right to refuse these parcels.

Returning items not in their original packaging can lead to them becoming marked, creased or damaged, which requires additional work to restore them to a resalable condition. Please note that any items returned in this manner will incur a re-stocking fee of £5 per garment. If your return is found to be unsuitably packaged, you will be contacted by customer services and you will need to either make arrangements to have the items sent back to you or have £5 per garment deducted from the refund.

If an item cannot be restored to resalable condition, the return on this item will be refused.

Please note it can take us up to 14 working days to process the return once the parcel arrives with us. We advise customers to keep their return tracking information safe until they receive an email confirmation from us that the refund has been completed.

If you return an order that has been paid for using loyalty points – you will only be refunded for actual money spent.
No loyalty points will be refunded on returned items. 

Christmas Returns Policy

Any full priced items that have been purchased from 1st December as Christmas Presents have until the 10th January to be returned. LJ’s must be made aware the items have been purchased as gifts at the point of purchase to be eligible for the extended returns period.

*Please note, refunds will not be given on items deemed unfit for resale, reasons may include but are not limited to:

  • makeup marks
  • perfume smell
  • fake tan marks
  • alterations
  • strong odours

In the following instances, returns will not be refunded:

  • SALE ITEMS (to the value of £42 or less)
  • Out of the 14 day returns window
  • Not fit for resale
  • Paperwork not included in the return parcel

If your return is refused you will be contacted by customer services so you can make arrangements to have your items sent back to you. Postage will need to be paid in order for us to send your items back. We will keep the items to one side for 28 days. Following this time if no contact is made from the customer and/or they do not arrange to pay the postage to have their items sent back, the items in question will be given to charity.

It is your responsibility to include the relevant paperwork inside your returns parcel. This must include your name, order number, and reason for return. Any items returned without the correct paperwork will be put to one side for 28 days. Following this time if no contact is made from the customer to claim the parcel, the items in question will be given to charity.

Back Orders

Back orders are available on some of the Gift & Homeware Items Only. Please check the description of the items for more information regarding the delivery dates. Once a back order is placed you have 14 days to cancel the order. Once you have passed the 14 days unfortunately you will not longer be able cancel the order. There will be no returns on Gift & Homeware due to their fragile nature, but if you have contacted customer services and are returning for a known reason please be aware we will not be liable for any breakages, you will not longer be eligible for a refund and you will need to contact your returns courier to claim.

 

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I RECEIVE AN INCORRECT OR FAULTY ITEM?

Please send us an e-mail or Facebook message with your order number, the name/product code of the item you were supposed to receive and further details of the problem. We will then advise if the item can be returned or not. Items must not be worn, have the tags in tact and should be returned within 14 days of receipt.

Please make sure you contact customer services prior to making your return so they can provide you with a free return label as we are unable to reimburse return postage fees.

If you return a faulty item you will be sent a replacement (not a refund) if you wish for a refund then there will be no reimbursement on the return postage.

*A consumer cannot claim for a refund or replacement if he/she alters the item or causes any damage to the item.

LJ’s hold the right to cancel and refund any order that has been purchased through their website. Some cases include: pricing entered incorrectly by administration staff and orders made from countries we don’t ship to.

Repeated Returns

We offer a flexible returns policy to make your online shopping experience even easier. We do monitor the number of returns made by customers and continued returns will be flagged and may, at our discretion, lead to the closure of your LJ’s account or future orders being refused. After which point any future returns will incur an additional handling fee to cover our costs.
